Level Cross will be released in July

Malayalam actor Asif Ali’s next, Level Cross, features Amala Paul as the female lead. It also stars Sharafudheen in a key role.

The makers of Level Cross have recently announced the release date of the film—26 July.

While announcing the release date, they also unveiled a new motion poster featuring the lead actors.

Level Cross is written and directed by debutant Arfaz Ayub. His director-father Adam Ayub penned the dialogues for the flick.

The teaser, launched last week, revealed that Level Cross is a suspense thriller. It also gave a glimpse of Sharafudeen’s character in the film.

The teaser shows Amala Paul’s character arriving at an unknown place with a railway-level crossing. She doesn’t want her family to keep track of her whereabouts.

Asif Ali’s character is scared and alone as the residents of the apartment leave the place forever.

The teaser evoked anticipation for the movie since Asif Ali’s latest venture—Thalavan, directed by Jis Joy, drew a roaring response from the audience and critics alike.

The actor, in a recent interview, stated that Level Cross is set in an imaginary place and has been shot extensively in Tunisia.

Appu Prabhakar handled the cinematography for Level Cross.

Vishal Chandrashekhar composed the music and background score.

Ramesh P Pillai is producing the film under the banner of Abhishek Films. Besides this, the production house is bankrolling Mohanlal’s RAM, directed by Jeethu Joseph.

Director Jeethu Joseph (also the mentor of Arfaz Ayub) is presenting Level Cross.

Dulquer Salmaan’s Wayfarer Films is distributing it in Kerala.

Meanwhile, Asif Ali’s Adios Amigo with Suraj Venjaramoodu is slated for release on 2 August.

The Malayalam movie is helmed by debutant director Nahaz Nazar. Thankam penned the script.

Amala Paul was recently seen in director Blessy‘s blockbuster hit Aadujeevitham (The Goat Life), where she shared the screen with Prithviraj Sukumaran. She played the role of Sainu, the wife of Najeeb (protagonist) in the film.

Aadujeevitham collected over ₹160 crore at the global box office and became the second highest-grossing Malayalam film of 2024 after Manjummel Boys (grossed over ₹200 crore worldwide).
