As predicted, Ranbir Kapoor’s Animal has made a significant impact at the box office with its sheer portrayal of violence. It secured an impressive start in all regions despite mixed reviews from critics on Day 1.
Animal‘s opening day collections have surpassed those of major blockbusters like Pathaan (2023) and Gadar 2 (2023) this year, reaching a reported ₹61 crore across the country.
The Hindi version contributed ₹50 crore alone. The Telugu version added another ₹10 crore. The film also earned ₹48 lakh, ₹9 lakh, and ₹1 lakh in the Tamil, Kannada, and Malayalam languages respectively.
Though the official figures are yet to come, the current bookings suggest that Animal is set to create a sensational first weekend.
