Anand Deverakonda recalls mimicking ‘Pokiri’ Mahesh Babu

Actor Anand Deverakonda’s remarks about the film are now going viral on the internet.

Anand Deverakonda shared an iconic still of Mahesh Babu from Pokiri. He revealed that the running still of the Superstar from Pokiri left a lasting impression on him in childhood.

As a schoolboy, Anand recalled how his friends tried following Mahesh Babu’s style, especially the running style in Pokiri. Many of his friends tried the feat in the school corridors, the young actor added.

Anand Deverakonda also stated that Mahesh Babu’s mannerisms from Pokiri are evergreen and his style remains iconic. The aggression in his eyes, his sharp hands, the long leaps, and the way Mahesh chases the villains down, everything grabbed his attention.

The Baby (2023) actor hailed Mahesh Babu as an unparalleled actor who influenced many budding and aspiring actors in the industry.

Further, the young actor highlighted that the enduring craze that Pokiri has among film buffs can never be gauged.

Anand Deverakonda also recollected the days when he watched Pokiri at the Konark Theatre near Dilsukhnagar in Hyderabad.

Meanwhile, Mahesh Babu is currently occupied with a film directed by SS Rajamouli — SSMB29.
