CinemaSnippets: ‘AK62’ title announcement in March second week

The title of Ajith’s 62nd film, which has been tentatively titled AK62, will be announced in the second week of March. Lyca Productions, which is bankrolling the flick, announced this on social media today, 22 February,

The muhurat puja of the film took place in Chennai on 21 February. However, Ajith was not present.

The makers are waiting for the appropriate time to officially launch the project. Anirudh Ravichander is the music director. This is his third collaboration with Ajith after Vedalam and Vivegam.

Nirav Shah, who handled the cinematography for Ajith’s last three films, has been roped in for AK62, too. This marks his fifth collaboration with the actor.

Meanwhile, Ajith’s manager Suresh Chandra announced that director Magizh is not on social media and all the accounts in his name are fake.

Sivakarthikeyan not approached for role in Jailer

Actor Sivakarthikeyan and director Nelson Dilipkumar are close friends. Initially, rumors circulated that the actor would do a cameo appearance in director Nelson’s upcoming film Jailer which stars Rajinikanth in the lead.

However, in a recent interview with a YouTube channel, Sivakarthikeyan clarified that he was not approached for a role in the film by Nelson.

Nonetheless, he expressed confidence that Jailer would be a fantastic project filled with Nelson’s unique brand of humour.

Sivakarthikeyan also debunked rumours that he was writing lyrics for a song in the movie. He clarified that he was planning to watch Jailer as a Rajinikanth fan.

Meanwhile, Raju Perisamy confirmed that Sivakarthikeyan’s new film produced by Kamal Haasan would soon go on the floors.

Gayatri Bharadwaj in Karthi’s film

Gayatri Bhardwaj, who gained admiration through the Hindi web series Dhindora, will play the female lead in Karthi’s upcoming movie directed by Nalan Kumarasamy.

It is expected that her Tamil debut will be announced officially at the film’s launch.

She is the leading lady in Ravi Teja’s forthcoming Telugu flick Tiger Nageswara Rao.
