Aishwarya Rajinikanth’s forthcoming, which will be produced by Lyca Productions, has been titled Lal Salaam. The movie will be launched on Saturday, 5 November. Lyca Productions made an announcement to this effect today on social media.
Superstar Rajinikanth and Lyca Subaskaran are coming together again after their blockbuster hit 2.0.
While Rajinikanth will play a cameo in the flick, the makers roped in Vishnu Vishal and Vikranth, instead of Atharvaa (as thought earlier), for the main roles. Kalyani Priyadarshan is the female lead.
The film is about a cricketer and his struggles to reach the top league. Vishnu Vishal and Vikranth are real-life cricketers and did really well in the recent Celebrity League Cricket.
The producers roped in music maestro AR Rahman for the movie. Earlier, there were rumours that Anirudh, a close relative of Aishwarya Rajinikanth, will be signed as the music composer.

Vishnu Rangasamy is the cinematographer. His recent release Selfie (with GV Prakash as a hero) has been appreciated by both critics and audiences.
B Pravin Baaskar is the editor. Ramu Thangraj is the art director. Poornima Rangaswamy is the costume designer.
Meanwhile, sources said, Rajinikanth-Nelson’s upcoming flick Jailer is likely to be put on hold until the last-minute hitches are cleared.
