Though actor Yogesh started his acting career with the film Duniya (2007), playing the supporting character “Loose Mada”, his next film titled Nanda Loves Nandita (2008) established him as a lead actor.
The 2009-released Ambari won him the Karnataka State Award for best actor and also helped him get stardom.
Yogesh, also referred to as Yogi and “Loose Mada” is now all set to mark a milestone in his acting career. His 50th film Rosy directed by Shoonya went on the floors recently.
Actor Daali Dhananjay, who is basking in the success of his latest film Gurudev Hoysala, unveiled the title of Rosy and the muhurat of the film at the iconic Navrang Theatre in Bengaluru.
Director Shoonya recently helmed the Bengaluru underworld subject Head Bush. Though it received mixed responses, the making and performances were the major highlights of the film.
“I’m overwhelmed with the kind of appreciation I received for my first project Head Bush. In my upcoming project, Yogi plays the titular of Rosy. The shooting will commence in May,” he said.
“We will soon divulge more information on the film. Since movie theatres are an integral part of the film industry, we decided to have the muhurta and title unveiling event in Navrang Theatre,” he added.
Yogi said he was playing a gangster in Rosy. “It is certainly a unique character when compared to my previous roles. Shoonya has scripted an engaging tale and I’m excited about my 50th film.”
The actor played an important role in Head Bush and there have been talks about the sequel to one of his most popular movies Sidlingu starring Ramya. However, there has been no confirmation yet on the sequel.

Meanwhile, Hombale Films’ next production venture Yuva which marks the debut of Yuva Rajkumar, the grandson of Kannada thespian Dr Rajkumar, went on the floors recently.
Director Santhosh Ananddram who directed hits like Mr and Mrs Ramachari (2014), Raajkumaara (2017) and Yuvarthnaa (2021) shared that the first schedule of the shooting of Yuva began on 9 April.
The film’s unit shared that the shooting is currently underway at the HMT location in Bengaluru.
Sources revealed that actor Yuva was busy preparing for his role in the film and attending an acting workshop. He is paired opposite Sapthami Gowda of Kantara fame.
