Actor Kazan Khan of ‘CID Moosa’ fame dies of heart attack

Besides Malayalam, Kazan Khan did Tamil and Kannada movies and was popular for his villain roles. In all, he acted in over 50 films.

Actor Kazan Khan, who is familiar to Malayali audiences because of his villain roles, is no more. The actor was popular for his negative roles in films like The King and CID Moosa.

According to his family friend, the actor died of a heart attack on June 9.

However, the news was confirmed by Malayalam production designer-producer Badusha NM via his Facebook post.

Villain roles

Kazan Khan was quite popular in Malayalam films. His role in Shaji Kailas’ potboiler The King drew laurels from critics and audiences.

He was later seen as a terrorist in CID Moosa which featured Dileep in the lead role.

Ivan Maryadaraman and The Don are his other popular films. Interestingly, all these films portrayed Dileep as the hero.

Actor Dileep too condoled the death of Kazan Khan via social media.

Debut in Tamil

Kazan Khan also appeared in several Tamil and Kannada films. His acting career started in 1992 with the Tamil debut Senthamizh Paattu. Later, he did Duet (1994), Priyamanavale (2000) and Badri (2001), among others.

Some of his Kannada movies include Habba (1999) and Nagadevatha (2000). In all, he acted in over 50 films.
