Well-known Tamil director Lokesh Kanagaraj, the darling of the Tamil film industry who delivered nothing but superhits so far, has announced the launch of his own production house called G Squad.
In a statement on Monday, 27 November, a copy of which he shared on his social media accounts too, Lokesh wrote, “After directing five films, I am delighted to announce the launch of my production venture — G Squad, dedicated towards redefining the landscape of storytelling and entertainment.”
Lokesh Kanagaraj said the first few production ventures of G Squad will feature the works of his close friends and assistants in a bid to promote their creative ideas.
The director added, “I sincerely wish that you all watch, enjoy and shower the same support that you all have given me so far.”

Lokesh is not the first director in Tamil cinema to have his own production house.
Several other directors before him too have gone down this path.
These include directors Pandiraj, Shankar, Lingusamy, Vetrimaran, Pa Ranjith, and Karthik Subbaraj.
