actor nagarjuna 100th film

Nagarjuna and director Mohan Raja are likely to come together for the 100th film of the actor, revealed a source.

The movie is a remake of the Malayalam film Porinju Mariam Jose (2019) directed by Joshiy, and Nagarjuna will essay the role played by Joju George.

Joju George’s character, Porinju, is something that Nagarjuna never attempted before. Porinju is a butcher by profession. He is also the strong arm of the local rich man.

The role will give a different look to Nagarjuna’s image of a flamboyant, suave man. The actor reportedly asked Mohan Raja to adapt the flick to Telugu nativity.

Mohan Raja’s latest release with Chiranjeevi, Godfather, is doing great at the box office. It is a remake of the Malayalam movie Lucifer, directed by Prithviraj Sukumaran and starring Mohanlal.

Incidentally, Lucifer was released the same year (2019) as Poriam Mariam Jose and both were super hits.

Sources said that the forthcoming film will feature Nagarjuna’s son Naga Chaitanya in a negative role (a womaniser and son of a rich man).

Sources said that Prasanna Kumar Bezawada, who wrote the screenplay for Ravi Teja’s Dhamaka, has been roped in for Nagarjuna’s 100th film. The project will go on floors in January 2023.

Nagarjuna’s 100th film will be made under his home banner Annapurna Productions. The actor recently scored a hit with The Ghost, an action thriller.

As it is the story of two friends who grow up together, the team is looking for a prominent hero for Jose’s character.

Meanwhile, Mohan Raja reportedly approached Manju Warrier to play the role of Mariam. Indeed, she was the first choice for the Malayalam project but Nyla Usha played the role due to date issues.

Kamal’s next with H Vinoth

Contrary to the reports that Kamal Haasan’s next will be a Mani Ratnam-directorial, it will be directed by H Vinoth.

According to a reliable source, the project will be produced jointly by RajKamal Films and Red Giant Movies.

Vinoth is ready with the script and it will be a fast one. The work will begin as soon as Kamal’s Indian 2 is wrapped up.

From the sets of Dhoomam

Vijay Kiragandur of Hombale Films released the photos of Fahadh Faasil, Rishab Shetty and him on the sets of their upcoming film Dhoomam, a multilingual helmed by Kannada film director Pawan Kumar.

He captioned the pics “A delightful evening with the two Gems!”

The film stars Aparna Balamurali and Roshan Mathew. Preetha Jayaraman is the cinematographer.

Dhoomam is scheduled for release in April 2023.
