KarPing to make finding parking spaces without hassle

The third annual Dakshin Dialogues conclave of South First was held on Saturday, 5 October, on the theme “People & Technology: Governance for Tomorrow,” and focused on the importance of collaboration among governments, academia, and industry. 

It aimed to inspire thought leaders to harness technology for societal improvement, particularly emphasising the transformative potential of Artificial Intelligence (AI) and featured Telangana’s Information Technology and Industries Minister, D Sridhar Babu, who unveiled KarPing – the event’s title partner.

KarPing – Revolutionising parking management

The KarPing parking slot mobile application provides a user-friendly platform for finding available parking spaces in real-time and its intuitive interface allows drivers to efficiently find vacant slots, ensuring a less time-consuming and smooth experience.

Administrators can efficiently monitor occupancy, improving management. Designed to integrate seamlessly with existing parking infrastructure, the app can be used across areas, including shopping malls, office complexes, airports, and residential areas. Thus, Kar Ping enhances overall parking management while delivering a hassle-free experience for all users.

It aims to tackle urban parking challenges through AI, addressing the common frustrations drivers face, focusing on two key issues:

  • Inconvenience: Drivers waste an average of 17 hours per year searching for parking.
  • Impact: The time spent searching leads to increased frustration, congestion, and pollution.

Vision behind KarPing 

KarPing recognises that traditional parking management systems are often inefficient and costly and it aims to address it the issues at two levels”

  • Optimising spaces: Reducing congestion and the human effort involved in parking management.

KarPing acknowledges complexities such as varying environments and human behaviour, responding to it with extensive data training and model fine-tuning.

Dakshin Dialogues 2024 was presented by KarPing in association with Governments of Tamil Nadu, Telangana and Karnataka along with Ichor Biologics, Start up Karnataka, ELCOT, K-Tech with IIIT-Hyderabad as knowledge partners.
