The Cockroach Janta Party (CJP), a social media‑driven youth movement born out of satire, is staging its first on‑ground protest at Delhi’s Jantar Mantar today, demanding the resignation of Union Education Minister Dharmendra Pradhan over alleged exam irregularities.
CJP founder Abhijeet Dipke, who flew in from the United States to lead the demonstration, was granted permission by Delhi Police after initial confusion over clearance.
He urged supporters to maintain peace, carry a book and the national flag, and even offer flowers to police personnel as a gesture of non‑violence.
Security has been tightened across central Delhi, with more than 1,000 police personnel deployed at the protest site and border points. Despite heavy monitoring, crowds of students and youth gathered carrying pamphlets and flags, signalling growing frustration over exam controversies.

The protesters accuse the ministry of mishandling multiple examinations, including the NEET‑UG paper leak, CBSE Class 12 OSM errors, CUET disruptions, and SSC cancellations.

Activist Sonam Wangchuk has pledged to join the agitation if Pradhan does not resign, warning he may begin a six‑week fast should Dipke be detained.
The CJP, which began as a satirical response to Chief Justice of India Surya Kant’s remark, has quickly evolved into a grassroots accountability campaign. With investigative journalist Saurav Das appointed as spokesperson, the movement is expanding its leadership and signalling intent to sustain pressure on the government.
At the time of filing this report, the sit‑in remains peaceful but charged with spirited youth demanding accountability in India’s education.
