CJP Protest Live: Modi has conceded defeat before we have even begun, says Abhijeet Dipke
The protest march was announced by CJP, with support from the Left groups, demanding the resignation of CEC Gyanesh Kumar and against SIR of electoral rolls.
It’s Fortress Delhi that is greeting agitators on Cockroach Janta Party (CJP) protest day.
With over 26,000 armed personnel and a sea of barricades on the ground, Delhi is seeing its biggest lockdown since Covid.
The protests, as all of India knows, are directed against the Election Commission of India’s Chief Election Commissioner, Gyanesh Kumar, and the controversial Special Intensive Revision of electoral rolls. The CJP has demanded the scrapping of SIR and the resignation of Chief Election Commissioner Gyanesh Kumar, while also demanding a cleansing of the process that nominates the CEC.
Over 1,000 people have already been detained overnight in Delhi, according to reports.
CJP founder Abhijeet Dipke has slammed the detentions, claiming, “Modi has accepted defeat even before our protest has begun.”
