Protest at Jantar Mantar (CJP/ X)
Synopsis: The CJP founder Abhijeet Dipke also took to X to apologise to the supporters and protesters, who were brutally beaten by the Delhi Police on Monday. He wrote on X, “I apologise to all our supporters, especially the girls who were brutally beaten by male police officers. We could have done better. I could have done better to protect you from the inhumane actions of the Delhi Police.”
The morning after the Sansad Chalo march by the Cockroach Janta Party (CJP), during which the protesters braved a heavy police force and lathi charge, the CJP supporters and the youth were back at the Jantar Mantar, continuing their protest, demanding the resignation of Union Education Minister Dharmendra Pradhan.
Despite the rain, on the intervening night of Monday and Tuesday, videos from the Jantar Mantar showed the protesters cleaning the site and rebuilding the tents which were removed during the clashes with police.
On Tuesday, 21 July, the protest site was seen packed. Sharing the photos from the protest site, the CJP wrote on X, “21st July – 11:30 AM. Jantar Mantar Is Again Packed! The more you suppress us, the more we will rise!!”

Earlier, Dipke also met the injured students at the Ram Manohar Lohia Hospital. He further shared that a girl is in critical condition at RML after being injured during the brutal lathi-charge.

Addressing the students, he urged them not to lose hope. “This government wants you to lose hope; the force used today, the brutality shown today, was done with the only motive that students lose hope, they lose the strength found to raise questions.”

Tuesday also marks day-24 of Sonam Wangchuk’s hunger strike, which he is continuing from Safdarjung Hospital.
Meanwhile, the Safdarjung Hospital Doctors Association sought protection of Sonam Wangchuk’s right to avail Leave Against Medical Advice (LAMA), calling for an independent inquiry.

The CJP founder Abhijeet Dipke too took to X to apologise to the supporters and protesters, who were brutally beaten by the Delhi Police on Monday.

Criticising the centre for the police action, he further wrote, “To protect one Dharmendra Pradhan, who is responsible for the deaths of more than 20 students, the Govt was willing to spill the blood of many more young students.”
“If you were injured and see this, please DM me. I want to speak to you personally and apologise. We will keep fighting for all of you.”

On Monday, CJP’s spokespersons Ashutosh Ranka and Saurav Das met Union Minister of Health and Family Welfare JP Nadda, and submitted their demands.
The demands included immediate release of Sonam Wangchuk, Education Minister Dharmendra Pradhan’s resignation, and ₹one crore compensation for all NEET aspirants who committed suicide.

However, there had been no response from the government.
Delhi Police used lathi charges and tear gas to disperse close to 1,000 protesters who had reached near Parliament despite heavy police restrictions as part of the Cockroach Janata Party’s “Sansad Chalo March” on Monday, 20 July.
Reports and visuals shared by protesters on social media showed police carrying out a lathi charge against crowds of protesters, with some seen bleeding from injuries to their heads and upper bodies.
Visuals from Parliament showed security forces taking up firing positions aimed at the Parliament gates with machine guns, while firefighters stood ready with water cannons.
