From BRS to TRS, what does history say

If not anything else, the continuing raids by different central agencies in Telangana might come in handy for Chief Minister K Chandrashekar Rao to do some clean-up, closer to the elections.

The latest to join this list is Minister Malla Reddy and his family members who were being raided by IT sleuths since early morning on Tuesday, 22 November. The PA of another minister, Srinivas Yadav, was grilled earlier and the grapevine has it that its only a matter of time before the minister himself is summoned.

That Malla Reddy, who owns a chain of educational institutions, has become more of a liability than an asset to the TRS is known. There is already speculation that his son-in-law was planning to join the BJP before today’s raid took place.

KCR will only pity the BJP if it makes the mistake of welcoming the tainted TRS leaders as none of them are capable of giving the saffron campaign any real push.

If they remain in the TRS, the raids will only give a handle to the chief minister to axe them from the list of contestants in 2023. Either way, KCR will have the last laugh.
