Andhra politics has, over the past few days, been revolving around “chance”.
While Jana Sena supremo Pawan Kalyan has openly asked the electorate to give him “one chance” to bring development in the state, TDP chief N Chandrababu Naidu has been saying it’s his “last chance” to come to power. And YSRCP cadres and leaders are asking voters to give Chief Minister YS Jagan Mohan Reddy “one more chance”.
Naidu has been tirelessly visiting every single district in the state, pleading with voters for his “last chance”. Naidu, who swore he would enter the state Assembly only as chief minister, claims Jagan has utterly ruined the state and that, if elected, will do everything in his power to restore it to its past glory.
Pawan Kalyan, on the other hand, has been seeking “one chance” to lead a clean state government. It’s time to give a newcomer a chance to show the people what he can do since they’ve already tried all the other parties. His party is actively spreading the “one-chance” slogan.
Jagan has been urging voters to give him “one more chance” as his social welfare programmes are a first-of-their kind and that the public should give him another chance if they are to continue.
Interestingly, Jagan’s “Okka Chance” (One chance) appeal to bring change in the state in the 2019 poll campaign had actually worked in his favour.
