The ouch moment: BJP leader Jithender Reddy delivers a kick to the groin, Telangana tries to identify the yak!

What does it take to get the Telangana BJP going? Former MP and BJP’s national executive member AP Jithender Reddy has found the answer: A kick where it hurts the most!

As if to ensure that the message is not lost in words, the 67-year-old BJP leader uploaded a video on his Twitter handle as well. It showed a farmer trying to load a yak onto a van, and the shaggy-haired animal seemed to be in no mood for a ride.

The farmer, like Jithender Reddy, knew what would make the animal board the vehicle. He goes behind the yak, lifts its tail, and delivers a sharp kick to you know where. And the yak boards the vehicle in a single leap.

The yak metaphor was not lost. Jithender Reddy apparently made the animal represent the party leaders in Telangana. He also tagged @blsanthosh, @BJP4India, @AmitShah, @Sunilbansalbjp, and @BJP4Telangana.

The thrill of tweeting and deleting!

He initially tweeted the video in the morning, only to delete it. But wait, there’s more! He mustered up the courage, or perhaps couldn’t resist the temptation, and shared the tweet once again, this time at 11:54 am.

The tweet sent the political circles into a frenzy — well, who wouldn’t on seeing your opponent getting a kick in the groin, and that too, by his teammate! It provided the perfect opportunity for Telangana state Congress president A Revanth Reddy to chime in.

According to him, Jitender Reddy’s tweet has flawlessly captured the chaotic state of affairs within the BJP.

BRS spokesperson, Krishank Manne, too highlighted the internal squabbles within the BJP.

Lost-in-translation, says BJP

Putting up a brave facade, BJP sources said it was not a kick to the groin. They claimed that the tweet was meant to convey a message about not entertaining the tantrums of certain leaders. It appears that Jithender Reddy was trying to imply this to the BJP central leadership, or so say the BJP sources.

The sources pointed out that several other leaders have faced worse attacks in the past which did not grab much attention.

But wait, there’s more! Jithendra Reddy did try to do some damage control with a follow-up tweet. He claimed that the treatment was only meant for the detractors of Bandi within the party!

However, some loyal BJP supporters had a light-bulb moment. They claimed that the farmer represented the sentiments of all ‘karyakartas’ in Telangana.
