After police raids, seizures, cases, and summons, it seems the Congress’ political strategy team has made up its mind to shift base.

The strategy team of INClusive Minds, led by Sunil Kanugolu, has decided to shift lock, stock, and barrel, to Karnataka, where the party has just come to power by defeating the BJP.

What really, other than Karnataka, can be more of a safe space for a team that is expected to continue to work for the Madhya Pradesh, Chhattisgarh, and Telangana elections?

Sources in the party suggested that Kanugolu’s team would not work in Rajasthan, where two key leaders of the party — Sachin Pilot and Ashok Gehlot — have locked horns.

While surveys may still be on the cards, the team is likely to steer clear of strategy and campaign.

With Kanugolu also being appointed the chief advisor to Karnataka Chief Minister Siddaramaiah, it seems to be an all the more conducive environment for the strategy firm to shift base to Bengaluru and operate without hurdles.

In Bengaluru, the team can at least be pretty sure the police won’t come knocking on their doors over social media posts, like they did in Hyderabad.
