Behind the news is your round up of musings from corridors of power. While Pawan Kalyan was busy waving flagpoles with Chandrababu Naidu and BJP’s PVN Madhav at Super Six rally, Lokesh was juggling officials and phone calls to rescue Telugus stranded in Nepal.

Andhra Pradesh IT and Human Resource Development Minister Nara Lokesh seems to have picked the better part of duty, on Wednesday, 10 September, by staying put in Amaravati, trying to fix a flight for stranded Andhra natives in Nepal.
While the Super Six–Super Hit jamboree was thundering away in Anantapur, Amaravati was left unusually quiet. The ruling coalition’s big faces, including Deputy Chief Minister Pawan Kalyan, had all flown out for the show.
On stage, Pawan Kalyan was busy waving flagpoles with Chandrababu Naidu and BJP’s PVN Madhav, while back home, Nara Lokesh was juggling officials and phone calls.
It made for an odd picture. Pawan Kalyan in Puttaparthi airport, hopping off a private jet, and later driving to the venue in Anantapur, as crowds cheered him. Meanwhile, Lokesh was sitting across a conference table in Amaravati, scratching plans to bring back stranded citizens. Rock concert versus rescue ops.
Of course, the youth went wild for their star-hero deputy chief minister. Why wouldn’t they? For them, spotting Pawan Kalyan on stage was the high moment of their lives. However, when a crisis like this strikes, the script usually demands that a leader step into the control room, not into the spotlight.
In this case, Lokesh, who technically had no portfolio obligation in aviation or disaster relief, ended up doing the heavy lifting. He called up Union Civil Aviation Minister K Rammohan Naidu, coordinated the logistics, and ensured a flight was arranged to get people home from Nepal.
So, while Pawan enjoyed the sweet music of slogans, Lokesh played the quieter but more crucial role of a rescue planner, speaking to the stranded citizens over video calls and reassuring them that help was on its way.
