Part of twin-hub network

The proposed data centre is expected to house some of the world’s most advanced GPUs, TPUs and AI processors—engines that power high-performance computing, massive data analytics and cutting-edge AI applications.

Officials said the facility will be equipped to support a wide spectrum of emerging technologies, placing Andhra Pradesh firmly in the driver’s seat of AI-led economic transformation.

Designed as an extension of Reliance’s existing AI facility in Jamnagar, the upcoming centre in Andhra Pradesh will form part of a twin-hub network—one of the strongest AI infrastructures in Asia. Together, the Jamnagar–Andhra Pradesh duo is expected to give India a leg up at a time when global industries are racing toward AI-powered ecosystems.

The dual-centre strategy aims to bolster reliability, scalability and nationwide access to high-compute capabilities.

Solar project

To meet the enormous energy demands of such a massive AI powerhouse, Reliance has also committed to developing a 6 GWp solar power project in Andhra Pradesh.

The renewable-energy backbone will serve as a dedicated source of clean power for the data centre, reinforcing India’s push toward sustainable tech infrastructure.

Food park in Kurnool

Reliance also agreed to set up a Greenfield Integrated Food Park in Kurnool, spread across 170 acres. Equipped with world-class automated systems, the facility is expected to bring about a sea change in agro-processing, value addition and supply-chain efficiencies across the Rayalaseema region.

The food park is projected to generate substantial direct and indirect employment, offering a timely boost to agriculture, logistics and allied sectors.

Chief Minister Chandrababu Naidu expressed gratitude to Reliance Chairman Mukesh Ambani for placing long-term faith in Andhra Pradesh. He said the new investments would act as a springboard for the state’s development agenda.

Across the three major projects—the AI data centre, the solar project and the integrated food park—the cumulative impact on employment is expected to be substantial, with thousands of jobs likely to emerge during construction and operational phases. The state government believes these investments will serve as engines for innovation, industrial acceleration and inclusive growth.

Next gateway to global investments

Earlier in the day, during the inaugural session, Naidu projected Andhra Pradesh as India’s next gateway to global investments, noting that the state had already attracted $20 billion in the past 18 months, creating 20 lakh jobs.

He said the goal is to draw $500 billion over the next three years and generate 50 lakh employment opportunities.

Positioning Andhra Pradesh as uniquely poised for sectoral investments, he announced an additional incentive—escrow accounts and sovereign guarantees for companies keen on setting up industries in the state.

The CII Partnership Summit

The summit witnessed an overwhelming turnout, with over 2,500 delegates, including 522 representatives from 72 countries. Naidu described Visakhapatnam as one of the country’s “most beautiful and safest cities,” reaffirming its rise as a hub for IT, technology and global commerce. Acting on a proposal from Union Commerce Minister Piyush Goyal, the Chief Minister announced that the state was ready to allot sea-facing land in Visakhapatnam for a world-class India Trade Promotion Organisation (ITPO) convention centre, a facility expected to put the city firmly on the global convention map.

Naidu also praised Vice-President CP Radhakrishnan, the chief guest, calling him a symbol of “hard work and democratic values.” He further commended Prime Minister Narendra Modi as the “right person at the right place,” adding that the recent Bihar election results showed strong nationwide support for the NDA.
