‘Bridge between dreams and future generations’

After laying the foundation stone, Lokesh called the plant as a bridge between our dreams and future generations.

“This is not just a plant for Andhra Pradesh but it is for India’s clean energy future. This is not merely an industry—it’s a movement, a bold step forward, and a bridge connecting our dreams to the future generations.”

He emphasized that the project will energize not just power grids, but also the aspirations of Andhra Pradesh’s youth: “It lights the path for tomorrow—not with fossil fuels, but with the energy of hope and responsibility. With sun above and clean air around, why look for life on other planets when we can protect this one?”

He credited the vision of Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu and the government’s Integrated Clean Energy (ICE) Policy, launched in October 2024, for enabling the revival of mega green energy investments in the state: “This project reflects our governance strength and Renew’s trust. We are not just participating in India’s green energy growth—we are leading it.”

72 GW of renewable energy by 2029

He reiterated the state’s ambitious target of 72 GW of renewable energy by 2029, describing it as both a necessity and a vision being steadily realized. “In just eight months, we have attracted major clean energy players. These are not promises; these are firm steps forward.”

Renew Power was previously among the top renewable energy investors in the state before 2019. Their return to Andhra Pradesh signals renewed investor confidence under the new administration.

“This comeback of Renew Power after six years shows that strong leadership and policy make all the difference,” Lokesh said adding: “We are rewriting Andhra Pradesh’s clean energy roadmap.”
