Governor Abdul Nazeer at the Red Cross Awards
Andhra Pradesh Governor and President of the Indian Red Cross Society (AP State Branch), Sri Abdul Nazeer, lauded the tireless efforts of Red Cross volunteers and district branches during the society’s Annual General Meeting held at Thummalapalli Kshetrayya Kalakshetram.
Commending their vital role in blood donation drives, first aid training, disaster response, and health camps, the Governor highlighted the volunteers’ commendable service during the recent floods in the Godavari and Krishna regions. He also stressed the need to expand Thalassemia Blood Transfusion Centres across the state to support underprivileged children.
Governor Nazeer felicitated key contributors, including AP Genco MD KVN Chakradhar, Collectors Dr. G. Gireesha and Swapnil Dinkar Pundkar, and top-performing district branches. The meeting also approved reports and budget estimates for upcoming years. Senior Red Cross officials, district heads, and volunteers marked their presence at the event.
