Synopsis: Deputy CM Pawan Kalyan urged citizens to celebrate 4 June as a festival of good governance. Meanwhile, YSRCP plans statewide protests calling it ‘Vennupotu Dinam.’
According to a report by Indian Express, Deputy Chief Minister and Jana Sena Party chief Pawan Kalyan urged party leaders and grassroots workers to celebrate 4 June as a symbolic festival marking the YSRCP’s exit from power.
In a statement, he described it as the “end of anarchic rule” and the “beginning of Suparipalana (good governance)” under Prime Minister Modi, Chief Minister Chandrababu Naidu, and himself. He called for statewide celebrations akin to a combined Sankranti-Diwali.
The state’s medical, health, and family welfare department has initiated the transfer process of nearly 15,000 doctors and administrative staff, ending a two-year freeze on general transfers, reported Times Of India.
The move follows new special guidelines issued on 31 May after the finance department lifted the ban. Staff who have served over three years in one location will be reassigned to new stations.
Countering the ruling coalition’s celebratory tone, the YSRCP has declared 4 June as ‘Vennupotu Dinam’ (Betrayal Day) to protest the NDA government’s performance over the past year, The Hindu reported.
At a planning meeting in Visakhapatnam, party leaders including Botcha Satyanarayana and Golla Babu Rao launched a poster campaign and announced protests to highlight what they claim are broken promises and governance failures.
The incident occured at about 12 pm on 2 May when the accused, Shaik Meeravali, allegedly molested the child and asked her to keep it a secret. “The parents rushed the child to a nearby hospital after she complained of pain at about midnight,” Akiveedu SI Hanamanthu Nagaraj told South First.
“The doctor informed the parents that the child might’ve been molested and the child confirmed the same to her parents at about 12.20 am. Subsequently, they came to the police station and filed a case at about 2 am,” he informed.
However, today, 3 June, at about 11 am, the survivor’s uncle attacked Shaik Meeravali with a blade, injuring him. “We have not taken anybody into custody as both the accused is also at the hospital. Both the survivor and the accused are in a stable condition and further investigation is underway,” the police reported.
However, the police denied the accused’s link to the TDP, calling him a “sympathiser.”
