Synopsis: Seven ACB teams, headed by Deputy Superintendent of Police Srinivasa Rao, began simultaneous operations early Wednesday morning. Locations searched included Lokanadham’s home in Tirupati’s Peddakapu Layout, his guest house on Tirumala hills, his office at the hill shrine, and the residences of relatives.
Officials from the Andhra Pradesh Anti-Corruption Bureau (ACB) searched the residence and several other properties linked to Tirumala Tirupati Devasthanams (TTD) Deputy Executive Officer M Lokanadham in a case involving alleged disproportionate assets on Wednesday, 2 September.
Lokanadham was appointed as the Deputy EO in April 2023. The post involves overseeing the Tirumala temple and is regarded as one of the key positions within the TTD hierarchy. He has held several assignments in the organisation over the years and a similar position at the Padmavati Temple.

Officials also inspected a locker held in his name at an SBI branch in Tirupati’s STV Nagar. According to the ACB, the searches found gold jewellery, cash, and property records pointing to assets disproportionate to his declared income, running into several crores of rupees.
News of the raids has reportedly unsettled TTD’s administrative circles, as this was the first such operation against an officer in over 15 years.
The ACB said it registered a case and that the searches were based on a warrant issued by the ACB court in Nellore. Further details are awaited.
Incidentally, the ACB had inspected the house of TTD Deputy Executive Officer Bhupathi Reddy in 2011.
