“One day, I was thinking about Puri Jagannadh’s love for dogs. And thus, the idea for Slum Dog Husband germinated. It is a satirical movie with emotions,” AR Sreedhar told South First.

When asked why he picked a dog, Sreedhar replied, “Even former Miss World Aishwarya Rai had to give in to sentiments and marry a tree before getting hitched to Abhishek Bachchan.

He added, “All said and done, the shooting schedule with the dog was fun. We had to give it some time to relax and not make it overwork.

Bheems Cecilio scored the music for the film. The retro song “Hey mera chota dil lutgaya monika..” and the “Lacchi gani pelli..” song are being widely appreciated.
