“I’ve never had any regrets in my career. I have always been busy in Tamil cinema. That’s the reason there is a huge gap in my Telugu filmography,” Hansika says
The actor is in Hyderabad on Thursday, 16 November, to promote My Name is Shruti which, she says, raises some pertinent questions in the most-thriving billion-dollar medical industry.
The film is a crime thriller set against the backdrop of an organ-harvesting mafia. I think for the first time, a film with this backdrop has been made,” she quipped.
“My co-stars Allu Arjun and Prabhas have reached the peaks of their professional careers. Despite reaching new heights with every movie, both stay grounded,” she praised them.
Hansika did thorough research before going to the sets. Her mother being a dermatologist, the actor gathered first-hand information on the illicit parts of the world of dermatology.
“When I asked her if the skin mafia really exists, my mom said she read about it. The director too had bumped into two instances during his time of research,” she elucidated.
