Collaborating with Yogita Uchil, chef Katherine Chung will present her expertise in Modern Hakka Chinese Cuisine during a five-day pop-up ‘Two Worlds, One Wok.’
Along with Manish Uniyal, Executive Chef of Hyatt Regency Chennai, Manish Uniyal, Chung has meticulously crafted an exclusive decadent pop-up menu from 22-26 November, 2023.
“This is the food I cook for my family, and this is what I want to showcase, to tell guests that Hakka cuisine is much more than Hakka Noodles and Chilli Chicken,” Chung said.
This exclusive menu showcases a fusion of traditional and royal dishes, combining rarely-seen Hakka Chinese delicacies from Hakka homes with exquisite Imperial Chinese cuisines.
“We believe in bringing a fresh experience to guests every few months. Each menu is unique and carefully planned so that guests can experience cultures from across the globe.”
Uchil a travel influencer, has been curating menus for pop-ups for the last 7-8 years. Through her work she hopes to introduce people to the original Indian cuisine.
Guests can savour Xinjiang Spice Tossed Mutton, Typhoon Shelter Eggplant, Lettuce Wraps, Crackling Roast Pork Belly, Garlic King Oyster Mushroom to name a few.
