Superstar Rajinikanth’s film Jailer is likely to rule the Telugu box office this weekend. The Rajinikanth-starrer is likely to gain the edge over Megastar Chiranjeevi’s Bhola Shankar.
A distributor named Satish from Visakhapatnam alleged that the makers of the film cheated him of ₹30 crore. Satish also filed a case demanding a stay on the release of Bhola Shankar.
He alleged that producer Anil Sunkura, duped him into giving the distribution. Anil Sunkara sold the rights of Bhola Shankar to other people causing him severe financial loss.
Bhola Shankar starring Chiranjeevi, Tamannah Bhatia, and Keerthy Suresh, is a remake of Tamil flick Vedalam (2015). The Telugu movie is releasing in theatres on Friday, 11 August.
Starring Ajith Kumar, Shruti Hassan, and Lakshmi Menon in the leads, the Vedalam was a mass hit. The makers in Tollywood decided to dub it in Telugu with the title “Avesam” (rage).
It is learnt that Jailer fetched a positive talk from the Censor Board. However, Bhola Shankar apparently has the ingredients to appease the Megastar fans.
