Adipurush stars Prabhas as Raghav (Lord Rama), Sunny Singh as Lakshmana, Kriti Sanon as Sita, Devdutta Nage as Bajrang and Saif Ali Khan as Lankesh (demon king Ravana).
Based on the epic Ramayana, the movie is set to hit as many as 6,200 screens across India on 16 June. It is Produced by TG Vishwa Prasad of People Media Factory.
Cashing in on the massive hype for Adipurush, the makers already grossed ₹6 crore with its advance bookings all over the country (without Telugu states).
“The delay happened because of the ticket prices. Openings will start from Wednesday in both Telugu states of Telangana and Andhra Pradesh,” said Vishwa Prasad on delays in the states.
Adipurush has become an emotion of sorts for the right-wing, while for others, it’s a topic of discussion for the visual spectacle that it offers on the screen.
Meanwhile, spoilers related to Adipurush have surfaced on the internet. It is learnt that Adipurush’s second half has three sequences which might evoke praise from audiences.
The Prabhas-starrer is riding on the success wave that South films have generated with projects that have diverse storylines. Prabhas expects ₹100 crore on the first day as he has done it before.
Meanwhile, Prabhas or his team hasn’t made any efforts in a publicity campaign to date. Except for the event held in Tirupati, none of them have spoken to the media about the film.
