Senior actor Meka Srikanth is playing a police constable in the upcoming Telugu film Kotabommali PS, which is an adaptation of the Malayalam superhit flick Nayattu (2021).
When asked how satisfactory his three-decade-long journey has been, he says that acting might be the happiest career among the 24 crafts, but the actor in you is never satisfied.
“The applause for my role as a police officer in Khadgam (2002) was tremendous. In a way, the film brought back the memories. This film, too, has the same vibe but a different plot.”
“Although it is a remake of the Malayalam superhit film, we had to make changes that suited the sensibilities of the Telugu audiences.” The actor added.
“I have played a role that has a lot of scope. The body language of the police and their attitude should be portrayed in the right proportions to get that realistic appeal on screen.”
About the team, Srikanth says, “The whole team is confident that we could make it. I used to tell actors Rahul and Shiva that sincerity is crucial for any artiste.”
“Our Telugu girl Shivani Rajasekhar also does good roles. Audiences will like Murali Sharma’s role as a politician. Hope everything works well for Kota Bommali PS,” he says.
