The Sukumar directorial was well received by the audience. Starring Allu Arjun, and Rashmika Mandanna, the film is the sequel to the 2021 hit Pushpa: The Rise.
The first part also became the highest-grossing movie of 2021 in India and marked the first time a Telugu actor (Allu Arjun) won the Best Actor award at the National Film Awards.
Pushpa 2: The Rule is the eighth Indian film and the fourth Telugu title, following Baahubali 2, RRR (2022), and Kalki 2898 AD (2024), to earn over ₹1000 crore in global gross.
SS Rajamouli’s Baahubali 2: The Conclusion (2017) took 10 to 11 days to reach this landmark figure, becoming the second Indian movie after Aamir Khan’s Dangal (2016) to achieve it.
