In Padavi Poorva, Hariprasad Jayanna showcases the “golden days” of college, with a little bit of every emotion required to make it memorable.

Entertainment

Like most teenage college stories, this one has a gang of friends, cute love stories, the last bench saga, petty fights, and a tragedy.

Entertainment

The casting of teenage newcomers fits the bill and their cute yet strong performances keep it engaging for most parts.

Entertainment

If one had ever fallen in love for the first time, then Padavi Poorva will certainly make those memories return.

Entertainment

It does a neat job of taking the audience, who actually lived the 80s and 90s college (PUC) days as students, back to their college days.

Entertainment

However, the drawback is that it offers nothing new. It’s the same-old saga. This universal tale is a one-time watch.

Entertainment

Thankfully, it’s not another tale that is purely made to send out a moral message about what to do and what not to do as a student.

Entertainment

Composer Arjun Janya has the right tunes with Yogaraj Bhat, who also produced this one and has beautiful lyrics for that perfect outing.

Entertainment

All in all, Padavi Poorva wins the heart despite being an old saga of teenagers from college days.
