Debutant director Shamal Sulaiman’s Jackson Bazaar Youth has all the elements to be an interesting one. It is about a band of the same name.

Entertainment

The band consists of Jackson Velayyan (Jaffer Idukki), Shankaran (Gopalan Adat), Appu (Lukman Avaran), Rameshan (Fahim Safar), and Rekha (Anagha Ashok).

Entertainment

Jackson Bazaar Youth deals with the realities faced by the underprivileged like shortage of drinking-water and displacement in the name of development.

Entertainment

Jackson Bazaar, where the band members reside, is marked to be taken over for the widening of roads. Jackson even dies due to police brutality.

Entertainment

Jackson Bazaar Youth has power-packed performances by the lead actors. Jaffer Idukki delivers one of his career-best performances.

Entertainment

Lukman Avaran and Gopalan Adat play important roles. Chinnu Chandni’s performance has to be appreciated. Indrans is the show-stealer.

Entertainment

One major weak point in the movie is the sudden transition of Indrans.

Entertainment

The music by Govind Vasantha goes well with the movie. The background music with importance to trumpet gave a different mood to Jackson Bazaar Youth.

Entertainment

The cinematography by Deepak D Menon was good. He very well utilised the picturesque location in Kollam.
