Dos and Don’ts to prevent increase of Covid-19 cases

The Karnataka government has developed a set of guidelines on what people should do to ensure that the spread of Covid-19 is mitigated.

The elderly (60 years and above), those with comorbidities (particularly with kidney, heart, liver ailments, etc), pregnant women, and lactating mothers are at risk.

When outdoors, people with a higher risk should wear face masks and strictly avoid visiting closed, poorly-ventilated spaces and crowded areas.

Those with respiratory symptoms like fever, cold, cough, running nose should seek medical consultation early. They should wear face masks.

Everyone should ensure good personal hygiene, including regular handwashing. Stay away from crowded areas. Wear masks when in hospital areas.

When unwell stay at home. Minimise contact with other people. Be careful about senior and those vulnerable people. At crowded places wear a mask.

If you are travelling overseas, stay vigilant. Adopt relevant travel precautions like wearing mask at the airport, inside the aircraft.
