Being fashion stylists of Tollywood heroines is an “unpaid” work!

Clad in the latest designer outfits and accessories, when a hero/heroine turns up for a film promotional event, the look indeed is put together by a stylist.

The stylists don’t get paid for travelling, sourcing and returning the stuff to the designer in good condition — we’re talking about stylists working for actresses here.

The female leads, in turn, not only get publicity but also earn revenue with every picture they post on their Instagram or Twitter pages.

The stylists hope that their work will be noticed someday and the star will offer them a promotional event, if not a film for personal styling; but neither of that happens.

Interestingly, heroes pay their stylists or get the producers to pay. Not just stars but even the upcoming heroes do throw tantrums and make the producers pay for their personal expenses.

Fashion stylist Gauri Naidu, concurs no person should work free of cost since it undermines the value of the person and his/her skills.

The producers don’t want any stumbling blocks at the pre-production level, they say “yes” to everything, Gauri Naidu pointed out.

The Active Telugu Film Producers’ Guild announced that the personal styling bills will henceforth be borne by the actors.
