34 years after his assassination, why does Vangaveeti Ranga still evoke such interest?

26 December marked the 34th death anniversary of Congress MLA from Vijayawada East Assembly segment, Vangaveeti Mohana Ranga.

In 1988, Ranga emerged as the leader of the Kapus at a meeting christened Kapunadu in which it was estimated almost five lakh people participated.
